Herrington Carmichael

When, in 1935, Aldershot’s Walter Herrington and Camberley’s Graham Carmichael merged their legal practices, giving us the name we are now known for, the concept of a ‘one stop-shop’ law firm was common on every high street.

The high street and client needs have changed over the years, we now provide an increasingly specialist legal practice – with dedicated experts operating at the forefront of their individual areas of law. Whether we are working with a business or private clients, we are proud of our practical, deep understanding and professional teams in each of the legal disciplines. We are now based on Watchmoor Park in Camberley, where we are proud to be the largest law firm in Camberley and therefore the largest law firm in Surrey Heath.

We have invested in recruiting the best experts and administrative
support staff. We work hard to present opportunities for their
development so that they not only continue to offer clients the best service but we also retain them throughout their careers. Our trainee programme is one of the strongest for retention of lawyers in the UK and we are proud to take a longer-term approach to the individuals joining our firm.

We have stood the test of time and are proud of our commitment to providing clients with specialist legal services in Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire for over 175 years. We pride ourselves on providing the very best legal services and we have supported this by moving to more modern premises, taking on significant investment in infrastructure and technology to allow us to better anticipate change and act upon future trends.
